Awake and Dreaming

Awake and Dreaming

A Poem by Susanna F

Effortless visions appear

Pen leaving trail of lies

Each one illuminates truths

But if forced the fickle muse dies

Stilling my thoughts for a while

Nothing but moments to lose

I hear a voice speak enigmas

What it says is not mine to choose.

Subconscious rises to float

At the tips of my fingers; my soul

Speaks in rare crystalline tones

As the dream on the page becomes whole.
