Clash of Egos

Clash of Egos

A Poem by sushi

Is there any need,
for the peace-treaty to be rejected?
Was everything a lie?
Wasn't there any truth,
in the moment lived?

The bright eyes of once,
have shrunk to disappear.
The deepest happiness of one,
have lost their root from heart.
The water for survival,
have vaporized to reach heaven.

Not an earthquake,
Not a crater,
No reason, No requirement,
Yet this distance.

Why is this distance?
Miles stretching,
Physically no one could see.

All the dreams,
All the prayers,
The difficult step's climbed,
The promises made,
was all that just to stand-apart
and fight to part!!!!

so often it's as easy as looking away,
when the pain rests in a silent heart--
'physically no one could see'
strong line, forces my mind into action..
the last stanza, particularly, strikes me.
'the difficult steps climbed'--lest we forget
the sacrifices already made, often 'ultimately',
so that the causeof peace could survive..

i often stare off think'n about the brave souls of the world
and all the silent sacrifices they have made--like undercover heroes..
..a charter i'd suppose your heart might align with..
great read, i thank youfor share'n..
cheers

Egos are a powerful thing to let go of.
As dreams are for the dreamers and prayers
for the faithful, ego's are for the mentally
challenged. A very profound piece indeed.
