Promises sent on running water

Everytime,
I fall for your promises.
I believe,  its true this time
You would keep up each word
and prove I heard it right.

Again I am disappointed.
But again, its not fully you.
The timing goes so well,
the happiness proceeds first
the sadness and escues follows.

I can relate to this poem, because I tend to be a little bit gulliable. Thankfully my friends usually set me straight, but it can still hurt when someone promises to do something and they never do. Thank you for writing.
