Endless Hopes

I wish I could forever play
with tiny puppets made of clay
If my tiny fingers could touch every ray
that lights up every bright summer day
A shop with adorable gowns on display
How could I buy them all with no debts to repay
I wish I could dance like a fairy and be gay
If I could make the memories not replay
A million thoughts cross my mind everyday
Most of which leave my ailing heart in dismay
A thousand such wishes dwell in my mind
And every such wish forgets hapiness behind
So, I wish to unlearn this hideous art one day
And yearn for eternal happiness with greed at bay
