shard of Happiness

shard of Happiness

A Poem by June Nova
"

Keyword: Longing, memories, small happiness

"

All I want was shard of happiness

My fingers running through her hairs

Her sweet perfume lingering on my fingertips

Feeling her silky smooth skins against my palm

All I want was piece of happiness

Me and her at the beach, enjoying the waves

Her running and me chasing her like Old Yeller

Happily yelping and chasing her

Only to be more happy when I finally catch her

All I want was shred of happiness

Looking at photos together

laughing and gasping at each other’s picture from the youth

Asking and understanding more about each other

as our hands join together.
