Runaway

Runaway

A Poem by Amy Beth Storey

Set the pain, feel the heartbreak
A world crumbling around you
You want to escape, need a getaway
Something is calling out to you

So pack your bags, we’ll be gone tonight
No one will know we’re missing
So pack your bags, they won’t notice till daylight
Not till its too late again

Heartbeat, faster,
Run and forget the past behind
We’ll move away, we’ll live for today
And we’ll never miss out again

So pack your bags, we’ll be gone tonight
No one will know we’re missing
So pack your bags, they won’t notice till daylight
Not till its too late again

The windows are down, the music is loud
And there’s no one to stop us now
We’ve been to hell and back,
And we’re heading for heaven
So relax, take a nap,
Because this is our destiny

You’re packing your bags, we’ll be gone tonight
No one will know you’re missing
Packing your bags, we’re not noticed yet
Then it will be to late again

Hands on the wheel, let me switch gears
We’ll drive way too fast
And laugh way too much
Feet on the gas, we’re headed toward nowhere
No plans, no expectations
Just the freedom we’ve stolen

So pack your bags, we’ll be gone tonight
No one will know we’re missing
So pack your bags, its nearly daylight

They wont notice till its too late again
