A Wives Prayer

A Wives Prayer

A Poem by The Bleeding Quill

God give me the strength to pray for him, in his time of need.
Give him the courage to stand strong, and the wisdom for him to lead.
God watch over him, as he faces the threats of war.
help him serve with dignity, to our beloved marine corps.
God please bless, every imprint his boot shall tread to make.
Remind him to use every caution, He can possibly take.
Allow us to resolve our issues, I pray every night for this.
Please remind him, he is needed, he is loved, and missed.
God please grant me the strength to forgive all that's been done,
and I ask for forgiveness myself, because I know he's not the only one.
God please spare him what you can of war's insanity,
please don't let our last words be hostile, or full of vanity.
God give me the strength to maintain a Lil while longer.
it is true what the say "that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger."
God please calm him, ease his heavy heart.
God please keep us together, even though we are apart.
God please bring him home, his family misses him too
I'm sure you hear them every night, as they all pray to you.
God give me the courage to deal with a post war man.
God please protect my husband, while hes in Afghanistan.
