My Testimony

For my church's Girl's Camp project, we needed to incorperate Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley's Nine Be's in our project somehow. I decided to write a poem. The be's are in purple.

My Testimony

 

I'm trying to be grateful,

and I'm trying to be smart,

and I'm trying to be involved

in music and the arts.

 

I'm trying to be clean,

and I'm trying to be true,

and I'm trying to be positive

in everything I do.

 

I'm trying to be humble,

and I'm trying to be still,

and I'm trying to be prayerful

and listen to God's will.

 

I know that I'm not perfect

in everything I do and say,

but I know the Lord is with me

every step along the way.

 

I'm grateful for my Savior

and the things that He has done for me,

and I know that on my way to Him

is the very best way to be.

please do not be offended; these are my beliefs and I stand by them, but I respect other religions as well.
