The image of your face vanished without a trace.
I gasped.
Ran.
Grasped with outstretched arms and hands.
Pounding terror.
Pounding heart.
Pounding footsteps on the asphalt.
You left without a good-bye.
You were there,
And then you weren't.
In the blink of an eye.
You took flight.
Out of my life.
Out of sight.
Haunting glances,
Words with meaning.
Words of depth - full of feeling.
Laughter, that warmed me to the core.
Secrets,
Thoughts,
that only left me wanting more.
It was at the brink of madness, that my thoughts of you weren't few.
At the point of devastation, that I finally dreamed of you.

This is such a nice poem Christina! As I was reading i just kept on thinking about my previous relationship. I still dont know who would be saying those words, if he or I... maybe both of us. I only find a bit odd the lenght of the sentences, so uneven. I mean, just suggestion aestetically, the last two sentences divide them where you have put the comas so it would read:

"It was at the brink of madness,
that my thoughts of you weren't few.
At the point of devastation,
that I finally dreamed of you."

But that is just personal suggestion. =) Oh! and a capital "T" on "that only left me wanting more" =) I really liked your poem... I�m adding it to my favorites!
