With This Ball and Chain

With This Ball and Chain

A Poem by Jeffrey

Why help you? You're not very nice,

These customers hearts are cold as ice.

When busy and tired, you want me to halt,

to blame me for stuff that isn't my fault.

If I can't grant your wish, you'll scream and shout,

And expect my manager to come about.

No hundred dollar bills? "How dare you!" you'll say,

I don't make the rules! Shut up, OKAY?!

Your lines are too long, I'm in a big rush!

Then why are you shopping you big ugly gruff?

I demand a discount, this box is open!

What kind of drugs are these morons tokin'?

F**k you and no stock, the computer shows 10!
Damn right you basard, my fault again!

I don't get you, I never will,

I'll just continue counting my till.

Once again, I ponder and think,

After one shift all i need's a strong drink.

Lifes not about you, surprised at that too?

You'll find i REFUSE to take s**t from you!

Wow I think everyone who has to work in any form of customer service can relate to this poem.
I used to work at this smoothie place where they made us remake the smoothies anytime someone complained. Sometimes we'd have to remake the smoothies three or four times, and each time what was in the smoothie was EXACTLY the same, but for some reason they decided they liked it by the fourth time.
Customers can be so dumb,
I wish they realized how hard it is being pleasant when they treat you like you're a moron.
Sorry for the ramble.
Nice write.
