Emotional turmoil.

Emotional turmoil.

A Poem by thoughtfuldreamer

There's a lump in my heart,
I cannot fathom its shape.
There's a sense of sadness,
I cannot seem to escape.

Still I hold on,
Evading confounding tears.
They ache to break free,
From me, from all my fears.

When will it cease?
This emotional turmoil.
Pointless is the wait,
For the future to uncoil.

Thank you so much for your encouragement:) meant every word.
I enjoyed this poem. I go through emotional turmoils at times, and half the time I don't know the sadness that lumps in my throat. Good job on capturing a picture with words that can leave someone else feeling the same way.

Even though sad, it's helpful to hear that someone can relate to it. Thanks for sharing.
