Forgetting About You

Forgetting About You

A Story by Tang

I have come to terms with forgetting about you.

I was blinded by your poetry in which your words promised me that you would never forget me and that our bond was far greater than any bond you had ever felt.

Deep inside I knew I meant nothing to you but the comfort of pretending was more than enough for me.

You made me believe that I was everything to you and that I was the only one who understood you.

I opened my heart in the most vulnerable period of my life just for you to leave it untouched.

You fooled me into believing in platonic love and you left me with humiliation.

My thoughts are constantly filled with you but I'm ready to forget the same way you forgot about me. The same way you disappeared without saying goodbye. From the core of my heart I still hope you felt the same love and pain I felt.

I want and will forget about you.
