My Friend

My Friend

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The moon, the light
My friend
Shines into my soul
A waking moment before the night's end,
Thunder is heard
And held deep within
Between me, the moon,
My friend,
Together we welcome the storm
As I rest upon the earth, the awns,
The rain begins to pour
As I envelope the thunder, the roar
The lightning strikes
And awakens my destiny
The moon, the light, my friend
No hesitancy,
I settle within my naked truth
As the rain, the thunder,
The light, the moon
Returns innocence
My youth.

Good to have the three with you.
"The moon, the light, my friend"
I like the story in the poem and the very good ending. Hard to find hope and desire of innocence. We can find laughter and hope if we are lucky. Thank you for the excellent poem.
