Divine Love

Divine Love

A Poem by Tarry Franck

The moment we met
Your essence engulfed my very being
As did your grace
I felt blessed and honored
To feel your embrace,
When your mesmerizing eyes met mine
I knew the spiritual connection
We shared, was divine,
Your scent never left me
No matter how far
We were apart,
The moments we spent together
Especially the ones
That only we knew of,
Were so special, so precious
Listening to you play guitar
Sharing our love of music
And much more
I will forever cherish,
And though we spent years distant
We found each other again
The happiness was overwhelming
To come full circle, with my soul-kin,
I felt so blessed to hold you
Each and every day
Even when the news was told to me
That we had, yet again, parted ways,
A part of of me had been taken
My heart, my soul, my very being was breaking,
But ever so often, I feel you by my side
For not even Heaven could keep apart
A love so divine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even after all these years have gone
Your scent still lingers on
And lifts my heart, my soul
Places a smile on my face
And allows me to look forward
To the day I am called home.
