Must I Escape

Must I Escape

A Poem by Tarry Franck

Mind over matter
So they say
But feel this light
Has led me astray,
Behind it lies a darkness
I can not bare
But can I escape
Do I dare,
Fearing for my life
And what lies ahead
Fall to my knees
Head in hand
I feel a hot breeze,
Blowing a struggle
Against my soul
And don't know
I can any longer hold.

Sometime we must escape.
"I can not bare
But can I escape
Do I dare,
Fearing for my life"
I like the energy and desire to find a escape route. The above lines I like. Direct and honest words. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Thank you Coyote
I was hoping the falling to your knees was in prayer. I have these same days, but when I converse with Him they disappear.
