Empty Glass

Empty Glass

A Poem by terry smith

I hold my breath
as I empty the glass
a THC and Tequila bath
to wash the stench of you
off of my brain
layer by layer
drink by drink
slowly you start to peel away...
our entire relationship
circling the drain
and I feel at peace with myself.

Till tomorrow
when it starts all over again.
