Wish you were here

Wish you were here

A Poem by terry smith

this is to all the lost souls
the ones no longer with us
I miss seeing your smile
the lilt in your voice
the comfort of your presence...

YOU.

In my dreams
 I  visit you
and you are there waiting for me,
I see you as you were ,
and we share a time...
together

till I wake...
and start missing you all over again.

reminds me of the song called wish you were here by incubus..... that song gives me so many feels just like this piece does. It's really hard loosing someone, even if its just to them being out of your life. It is harder at least to me when they are gone for good because then you know you really cannot change things.... *sigh*

Idk
I really love this, it's powerful, and it really is tragic to lose a loved one, so anyone and everyone who has, stay strong. :)

i can imagine...it brought a lump to my throat in the wake of personal memories...you are welcome
The choice of vocabulary in this is breathtaking. Its simple but so powerful. Something less is more and in the case of this you are able to covey so much in such a small space. Bravo!

Thank you! I often go for less and let the reader interpret the meaning .
