A Poem by terry smith

I was on the
 outside
looking
in...
even as I was holding your hand.
Your other
 hand
 was held
by him
as
 was
 your
 heart.
Even though he was but a memory
through him it was me you could not see
on the outside looking in.

B
the heart wants one person
i say never hold a hand that you know is holding and promised another hand
and its obvious
she will be sad without him
and when he shows up she will be happy
so why try to take her away from her man
he is inside

i know what this feels like and you describe it so perfectly...when these things happen we have to let that hand go...
