An old mans spirit

An old mans spirit

A Poem by Tatiana Havens

This man;

with a hunched back,

no sight &

old stretched tattoos

covering old stretched skin.

This man;

with no voice

but the one inside his head

telling him

that it's time to go.

This man;

with long frayed hair

& simply cracked glasses

leaving no sight of beauty left in this world.

This man;

is not alive.

He hasn't been for years.

Simply because

his thoughts killed him long ago.

But he sits here;

and waits for the moment..

when the spirits come

to take him from this life.

This life that he has been longing to call

death.
