Text Me Tomorrow

Text Me Tomorrow

A Poem by Sunflower

It's been a long night,
Text me tomorrow... Alright?

Dreams turned to nightmares,
Another sleepless night for no one to care.

The scars have began to fade,
After being so strong, why would I want to stay?

The times are trying to push me,
To take my restless soul, unable to free.

A chime of a bell and it happens again,
I'm standing there with her, not him.

As we lay beside each other, still,
Why must it be so damn hard to control my will.

I need to shake this before it's too late,
Before I make the same mistakes.

Why now, would could this mean?
For now I will close my eyes to this dream.

Your hand calls to mine,
But I must not give in this time.

Your beauty overwhelms my soul,
After all, I just want to be yours...

Text me in the morning, when you wake,
And let me take those feelings of pain you thought would always remain.

I am here, and may be dead tomorrow,
So enjoy the happiness love, and ignore your sorrow.

One day at a time, for our love so pure,
Text me tomorrow, and I will be yours forevermore.
