Astray

A Poem by Sunflower

Frozen with thoughts to end her life

She cannot take one more day like this

She puts her pain in her skin, with a knife

Why would she stay away from the abyss?

She has been running astray for a while

Tears turn into crimson red from her veins

She craves just to be happy, just to smile

But she cannot escape her demon’s chains.

Darkness tears her hopeless, forgotten soul

Demons consume her mind, stealing her light

Many years ago demons took control

Taking her sanity, winning the fight.

With a knife held tight, she seeks to end it

She scrapes it to her wrist, a final slit.

First of all, I really hope you're okay. You can talk to me if you need to. I'm just hoping that you don't really try to kill yourself because I would miss you a lot.... This was written very well and with a lot of emotion. I liked it. :)
