But For Some Reason

But For Some Reason

A Poem by Sunflower

I hate you I really do,
but how come everyone can see only that I love you.

You were the biggest jerk I have ever met,
but for some reason our memories are stuck in my head.

You always treated me like total s**t,
but for some reason I don't care about it.

You used me and never truly cared,
but for some reason unknown I was still there.

You talked behind my back the entire time,
but for some reason I still want you as mine.

You said there is nothing I can do to get you back,
but for some reason I won't believe that.

You act like you can't feel what I do,
but for some reason my heart is still trusted in you.

You try to stay away from me,
but for some reason your heart still believes we are meant to be.

You try to act like it doesn't hurt that you are not the same guy as you were before,
but for some reason acting like it doesn't hurt makes it hurt more.

I could never really hate you,
but for some reason I think it would be best to.

I truly love you,
but for some reason you are not the real you.

I know what you have been through and all of your pain,
but for some reason it doesn't change a thing.

At the end of the day everything is still broken,
but for some reason not even I know the right words that should be spoken.
