the eyes

this poem is about my eyes seeing what many turn there eyes away from which is domestic violence

the eyes are awaking

for a moment i fall to the ground

waiting for an end

but look up for a second to see god

standing there he smiles and gives me his hand

he speaks so calm "take my hand its okay im here now"

so i take his hand

i wave goodbye to the world below my feet

i follow him into the distance

beyond the darkest skies

the eyes are awaking
