A Tale of Two Tails

A Tale of Two Tails

A Story by T. McDougald

There once was a cat whose tale was hardly as long as her tail. She crept, one day, into a butcher’s shop to fetch a meager pound of flesh. When he spied her on the counter top with claws sunk into a cut of pork, he raised his voice and raised his cleaver and brought it down upon the block. She dashed out the door in the nick of time but,in the end, for the sake of a rump roast for supper she sacrificed a bit of her own.
