Where Is Your Head, Mr. Ryan?

Where Is Your Head, Mr. Ryan?

A Poem by Bob B

Paul Ryan can't understand

President Obama's breakdown and tears

When he discusses Sandy Hook.

I can't believe my eyes and ears!

If the death of twenty children

Doesn't move you, you have shown,

Mr. Ryan, by words and actions

That you must have a heart of stone.

Of course ALL shootings are sad,

But at Sandy Hook Americans saw

That twenty kids had been riddled with bullets.

Shouldn't that be the very last straw?

An executive order to close gun show loopholes

And expand background checks should improve

Our chances of stopping SOME shootings,

Since Congress has failed to make a move.

"Tyrant!" some shout. "Unconstitutional!"

Others say, "The tears are fake."

"An attack on law-abiding citizens!"

We hear that nonsense from many a flake.

Ryan says the president's trying

To turn our heads from issues that are real.

Making America safer for all:

THAT's what I would call a square deal.
