Teardrops

a spin off of my friends poem "Raindrops"

Teardrops talk of a loss

 

there is the saying cry me a river

teardrops make that happen

out of sorrow out of pain

out of happiness out of glee

 

teardrops make not just one sad

but has the lasting affect on everyone

dripping down a moist cheek

sliding over the contour of one's face

 

coming almost to a stop

being wiped away by a finger tip

dripping over your chin

falling while screaming to the ground

 

i look up and see

another hand to wipe away a tear

another heart

feeling the way i do

 

another finger to touch my heart

and another sense on my face

another tear that slides down my face

and another one caught

 

again and again they are caught

my teardrops are soon long gone

and all that is left are the wet streaks on my cheeks

and again my face is brushed

i love this touch the sensitivity that comes with the touch

and i wish that these tears had gone

but one day is like a cold dark winter day

and the next it is like a bright hot summer day

i have learned to appreciate these winter days

you meet the people that walk into your life

the best part is that these people never leave

and then there are no more teardrops at all

there are no needs for teardrops

everyone is content

and everyone has found someone

and that is all that counts
