Who I Used to Be

Who I Used to Be

A Poem by Ashley
"

I am not the same person that I used to be and I wish, at times, that I was...

"

I miss the girl with the carefree attitude

The one with the real smile on her face

The girl who always went to bed happy

Who had only dreams

And wake up with a smile

The one who never sat a lone

The outgoing talkative one

With all the best friends

Sleepovers and hang outs almost every weekend

Drawing as a sixth sense

The one who lived without regrets

Who never went a day without laughter...

I miss the girl I used to be.

I felt that I can connect with this poem and I like how it sums everything into a small amount of writing.
