The Abyss

I’m sinking into the dark abyss,

I’ll be the one they won’t miss.

The voice doesn’t tell lies

I can see it in their eyes.

 

I’m trapped within my mind

And I’m being left behind.

I have lost my real self,

Forgotten like a toy on a shelf.

 

I have no voice

And must make a choice.

I can end the strife

Or keep my life.
