I didn't do it as an experiment for a college thesis in order to get an A on midterm exams,

I didn't do it just to see what it was like, and then at the end of that day I went back home,

I didn't do it as a way to buck the system in order to avoid rent, taxes and child support,

I didn't do it with a song in my heart, or because there was a gun pressed up-against my forehead, 

I didn't do it because I was being paid-to it was just one of those things that just kinda happened.
