Nothing from Nothing Leaves Nothing

Nothing from Nothing Leaves Nothing

A Poem by Ann A Myta

I ain't got nothing and I never had nothing, and as far as chances in life goes I’ll probably never amount to nothing. I have nothing to do with love and love certainly has nothing to do with me. I ain’t got nothing to give and ain’t nobody giving me nothing. There’s nothing in any bank with my name and account number on it. My formal education never really amounted to nothing. Growing up my family didn’t have much of nothing. And when it comes to work I can’t find nothing, so therefore I can’t really afford nothing. I can’t eat, because there’s nothing in my refrigerator, my pantry, or my cupboard, and when I applied for food stamps they said I couldn’t get nothing. So right about now even though I wanna keep on writing some more about nothing, I just can't really think of nothing.
