The Lock And Key

The Lock And Key

A Poem by that0newr1ter

The famous lock and key.
No ones found them yet.
But maybe that's my fault.
Cause I hide them till they forget.

You'd think I'd give them willingly.
But I've had them broken too many times.
So instead of looking for the light.
The walls I built
Block the sunshine.

I never wanted to be like this.
But you know how the saying goes.
Life is like a rollercoaster.
I guess I chose to stay on the road.

If I keep my feet on the ground.
I wont get distracted by the clouds.
And if I keep my head down.
The noise won't seem so loud.

People say I shouldn't keep going this way.
But it's better than stopping to look around.
Cause the minute I do.
I'll think about the words,
Screaming to get out.
