rain

rain

A Poem by Cas

As a kid,
we were taught that
if you sing,
"rain, rain, go away,
come again another day,"
it'll listen.
But that's a lie.
It never goes away.
It holds on,
downpours harder and harder,
begging for someone to drown.
And the rain,
oh it always conquers;
And we let it
because even the toughest
of warriors get tired of
fighting.

Don't fight the rain - build a raft and float upon it - that way you survive! Interesting, short; but emotional write - :-)

Hello, everyone! I'm Casee, a poet along the east coast. I often find my days reminiscing of what could have been, and what could be, while drowning myself in the musical talent of others. I hope you .. more..
