Fields of the mind

Fields of the mind

A Poem by dark brown i's
"

You can guess what it's about I'm feeling adventurous in my topics

"

Left beaten broken in his hand

Right where my story/tale began

The veins of chapters

The vessels of words

The fly by pages

The stern book’s back

The smoothed out cover

With printed black

The sea of grass

The blades of water

The painted doors

Upon my quarters

The very distant fairy land, with black bruised skies and yellow sand

The woeful cries of the back/ front porch

The frightened whispers of the neighbours look

‘I see you with your peering eyes!’ come help me you unrighteous swine

I flicked through lands of blood and roses

I ascended on to the mountain cliffs of Moses

I rubbed my hands on fresh red earth

I rub my cheeks in to seek rebirth

I hear the beatings of the drums

My heart beat faster ‘run’ ‘run’ ‘run’

I'll probably have to read it all over again a couple times (or more) to fully understand it, if I can. It is an intriguing piece, the last paragraph was quite compelling. Thanks for sharing.
