Chapter 6: The moon learns why the sun burns

“And that is why I hate going outside”

SHING, The sound of swords clashing and ringing after every strike echoed, sounding over and over. The sound repeated a concerning amount, sounding over and over, getting louder. After a certain point the clashing and ringing, was joined by the sound of very small explosions. 

“Give up!”

“Never!”

“Then I’ll just have Kill you”

“You can sure try”

After a good while Agni manages to get him on the floor, puts a foot on him and points the sword at his neck
“Do. You. Yield.”

He looks at him upset, then smiles and Agni smiles too and he removes himself from on top and makes his sword dissipate and helps him up. Him and Boreas were sparring and they got a little serious when they do. They started to talk and laugh together when suddenly, Agni stopped, he froze completely and stopped moving. His eyes start to widen and gain an Animalistic look, a look of almost feral proportions, his eyes were Draconic. He starts to look around, and Cynthia and Lillian are passing by, wanting to visit. The minute, the second he saw Cynthia, something snapped. He immediately charged at her in his Dragonborn state. The moment he reaches her grabs her and starts to drag her across the floor and then notices Boreas running after them in confusion and Lillian in rage.

“AGNI WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!”

“GET BACK YOU YOU LITTLE B***H!” Spreads wings

“AGNI WHAT WRONG WITH YOU, WHY ARE YOU DRAGGING ME, WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME!”

Laughs Maniacally “TO ATONE FOR YOUR SINS!”

Agni notices that Lillian is starting to catch up and spreads his wings and starts to fly, still just dragging Cyn, leaving her hanging. He quickly flies away to a point not too far from his cabin, about a few miles out. When he lands he throw her again a boulder and says 

“Is this place Familiar to you”

“No Agni, look I don't know what gotten into you but you need to stop”

He is just walking around like a lion circling its prey “Yes you remember it, don't you, this place is the place where you scarred me, FOR LIFE”Agni lifts up his shirt and it reveals a large triple-lined X scar, Agni puts his shirt back down and Cyn is just against the rock, in pain and in shock from the sight of the huge scar.

“A-Agni, Who did that to you?”

“You B*****d!”

Agni charges at her, picks her and slams her down, knocking the wind out of her. He pins her down, getting on top of her and says

“Lets see how you like getting Scarred”

As he says this he claws Cyn’s face which leaves three claw gashes, spilling blood and Agni claws, covered in blood. As he Goes for another blow, the memory fades and he can finally see real life, he can see who he is actually attacking. When he does, he just stays there horrified. He had clawed her so hard, not only did it open the side of her face, he had knocked her unconscious. Before he could even rationalize he immediately made a small fire ball to try and sterilize the gashes. Once he did that, since he always carries a needle and string on him, whether for his suit or for something like this (Typically for his suit), he’d have it. He stitched her up, ensuring no more bleeding and no infection. As he started to rationalize what happened he noticed Lillian in her more intimidating forme and Boreas right behind her. Lillian screamed

“COME HERE MOTHER F****R!, I’LL BE THE ONE MAKING YOU REPENT FOR YOUR SINS”

“Oh S**T”

Agni spread his wings and just dipped, disappearing from sight honestly, even for him, it was a mystery where he went. As for the others, they reached the area where Agni had taken Cynthia and, to their surprise, found her stitched up

“Wait he stitched her up?”
“Yes… but, why?”

As Agni was flying away he started to really think, process what just happened. He starts to land in a place even unknown to him and then says to himself

“Wait, did I just… I hurt her, I… that could have killed her, I didn't… but, I could have, not to mention, I ruined her, she’s going to have that scar forever, there’s no healing it. And I-I….. I almost killed her, I could feel it, I wanted to kill her, not her, but who i thought she was. I… I'm gonna go home and just… relax, after this, I need a beer… but that's not any better, I- I can’t just forget about this…”

Deciding that instead it was better to sleep in the wild for the night he walked deeper and deeper into the forest. As it became darker and darker, he could feel himself start to relax. He whistled and out from the darkness came running a giant wolf, his pet.

Low energy “hey there boy”

He bundles some sticks together, both from ones he collected and ones that Aurorous collected. He then lit the fire and as he fell asleep by it, Aurorous just curled around him to keep both of them warm and that's where he slept for the night. In the wild, With a Giant Wolf, and with a campfire. Even farther away from civilization and his cabin. Away from his loved ones, Away from the fear, Away from the depression.

 

Timeskip

In the morning he wakes with Aurorous around him, who kept him warm overnight. He slid out from under his tail and accidentally woke him.

Feeling a bit better than last night “Hey boy, Morning, why don’t you go and find us something eat, will ya”

Aurorous just barks and goes off running. About 10 minutes later he comes back with 3 dead deers and drops them on the Floor and awaits his treat.

“Go ahead, you can have one”

As Agni says this, Aurorous barks happily and begin to eat one the dead sheep enjoying the meat and gnawing on the bones. While He did that, Agni went ahead and relit the Campfire, to cook both the sheep. Once he was done, he ate one and just kept the other one for later. He then just started to try and walk home, going back the way he came

Timeskip

“Home sweet home”

He turns around and looks at Aurorous and dismisses him, sending him off to go and be free again. Once Aurorous is out of sight, he turns back around walks inside,closing the door behind

Whats going on with the others P.S Lillian is pissed

“I'M GOING TO DESTROY HIS LIFE JUST LIKE HE DESTROYED YOUR FACE….”

Cynthia had recovered well, but still needed to rest, Lillian made sure Cyn rested and that she was being taken care of. Lillian was already annoyed at Agni’s existence, but this? This is what she always warned him of, mess with her loved ones and you might not see the light of the day or darkness of the night.

Lillian had reached a new level of anger she herself didn’t know was possible. She flinched at every sound not because of fear, but because she was ready to destroy whatever or whoever was making the sound.

This was literally so strange, how in the heavens did Agni change from this gentle guy to an absolute monster(Lillian’s words not mine)??

Lillian opens her phone and dials the number she had thought of calling when she saw Agni taking Cynthia

“NOX IF YOU DON’T PICK UP RIGHT NOW I SWEAR TO MY CREATOR-”

“Uh,  hey Lillian, what do you need?”

“Nox, get here, right now… please….” Lillian’s fearness and vulnerability could be heard, she really needed him to get here.

“HE DID WHAT?!” As expected, Nox was more than pissed, He. Was. MAD.

The God and the Seraphim were now searching for Agni. Nox has never seen Lillian’s more powerful form, but now, he preferred if he didn’t

“You still haven’t explained how this happened…”

“Agni is going crazy!!! That’s what happened!!”

“They’re coming”

Agni could very quickly sense Lillian and Nox’s rage. He could feel them approaching to hurt him and honestly, he was going to let them, he wanted them to hurt him, hell, he wanted them to Kill him. He could feel them getting closer and closer, the presence of the rage becoming more and more prominent, and then, he heard a knock. He went to open the door when he felt it, their rage, and just accepted it. he opened the door and just as he expected, he got a punch straight to the face

“WHY D****T!?!?”

“LILLIAN!”

“DO IT!”

“WHY DID YOU HURT HER YOU B*****D?!”

Horrified by both of their reactions, Nox tries to drag Lillian away, succeeds but she struggles.

“YOU B*****D, WHY DID YOU STOP HER”

“NOX YOU MOTHER F****R, IF YOU DON”T LET GO-” Lillian didn’t just want to hurt Agni, she wanted to torture him in every way she knows.

“IF NEITHER OF YOU STOP I SWEAR ON MY LIFE I’M GOING TO-”

Suddenly, Lillian breaks free and starts to pummel Agni

“YES, KILL ME, KILL ME, I NEED YOU TO KILL! ME!  NO NEED TO HOLD BACK! GO AHEAD, MAKE ME BLEED, STAB ME, PUMMEL ME TO DEATH” He grabs Lillian, not to hurt her, no, to beg her

“KILL ME D****T, I KNOW YOU’RE SERAPHIM, YOU’RE THAT ANGEL I SAW WHEN I WAS CREATED, I KNOW WHAT YOUR CAPABLE OF, SO PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF MOTHER F*****G GOD. KILL! ME!”

Tears begin to well up in his eye and he lets go of Lillian and just curls up into a ball on the floor

Sobbing “kill me, kill me, kill me” his head pokes and through his tears he screams to Lillian “WHY WON’T YOU KILL ME, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO” he gets up and unconsciously his body starts to let off embers. He grabs Lillian by the collar and pins to the wall, through his tear he screams “WHY WON'T YOU KILL ME”

This sobered both Lillian and Nox, hell, it concerned them. Agni lets go and crying, he goes to the fridge, grabs another beer and as he does so, they actually analyze his clothing and just the general state of his house. There were some shards of glass on the floor, the curtains were closed, everything was a wreck. As for his clothes, they were the exact opposite of what his clothes usually were. They had beer stains and the stains of tears, and there was some evidence of self harm. His wrists were slit, his arms had scratches, the little Lillian saw under the shirt when she was pummeling him had a mix of burn and slashing scars. After Agni grabbed a beer, he just went to his room and before he slammed the door he said

“If you're not going to kill me, you may leave!”

The rage they once felt was now concern, even Lillian felt concerned for Agni, not that she would ever say it out loud.

“...I’m going inside.”

“Don’t, he needs space, please Lillian-”

“SPACE? SPACE?! Stop talking bullshit, Nox. If we leave him here alone, he could do anything, and by how he acted he is most likely to… to… to…” There was no need to finish that sentence, both of them knew how it ended and neither of them wanted it to become true.

“But if we keep pushing, who knows what could happen, I suggest we let him calm down and then check on him”

Sigh“Go back to the house and check on your sister, I will stay here making sure Agni doesn’t try anything, I don’t want him to fall on my path…”

Without wasting a second, Nox teleported back to Lillian’s house. 

Great, now it was just the two of them. Lillian knew for sure to not barge in and be like “hey pal!, I know I just tried to murder you a few minutes ago but how are you?” No, Agni wouldn’t even look her in the eyes. She needed to be patient and gentle, she needed to make him trust her even for just a few minutes.

‘I swear if this doesn’t work i’m actually going to freak’ She walks to Agni’s door, still not deciding if it’s a good idea

“Agni?” no answer “Agni, open the door please?” no answer

“AGNI OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR BEFORE I BREAK IT DOWN” no answer

With one hard kick, the door falls down. “Agni. Get your a*s over here before I actually drag you out of there”

Agni throws the empty beer bottle at her and throw the blankets over his head

Through his tears “P*** off”

She dodges the bottle and begins to reach for the blankets and then something happens, she could feel as if through a shadow of Agni and just tried to attack her and screamed “DONT TOUCH ME!”. Lillian flinched and was shocked, almost as if Agni actually had done that (OoC, he did).

Sits behind him on the bed “Agni, listen to me, I know you probably don’t want to talk but-”

“I almost killed her… I could’ve killed her… I would’ve killed her… she was lucky that it faded when it did”

“What do you mean that by ‘it’”

“My mother’s memories”

“Agni, what are you saying? what do you mean your mother’s memories?”

“My soul isn’t even mine”

“What do you mean your soul isn’t yours??”

“My soul, it's not mine, it’s my mothers”

“... What…”

“I'm not natural” he uncovers himself, stands up and shows Lillian his true forme, he became being made entirely of fire producing an intense heat

“This is the real me, this is not Agni, No, this is the Incarnation of Fire and Emotion, Angi-Kry”

He grabs his chest and tears a piece out, his soul

“And this is my mother”

“Oh my f*****g G- You’re not even a being, you’re fire that was granted a soul, aren’t you”

“Yes, and Unfortunately” he reverts back to his normal forme “It means I can still experience things like depression and probably the worst thing, I re-experience the memories of my mother, including the violent or traumatic ones. During these I lose control of my body and I'm not moving my body anymore, the memory is.”

“Which is why you attacked Cyn…”

“And why I need you to kill me”

Lillian’s eyes widened in a type of caring anger “NO, would you stop with that. You know I don’t really like you, but for F**k’ssake, I’m not going to kill you or let you kill yourself. You want to know why not, because your my damn rival, which means your important to me, and if you’re go to try and kill yourself, you going to have to fight me”

He just stands there, shocked that Lillian, of all people, cares so much about him. He couldn’t believe, after what he’s done, after the damage he’s caused, the way he hurt Cynthia, he couldn’t believe that Lillian of all people wouldn’t want him to die. Unfortunately due to his mental state he wasn’t the most open to help.

“You're lying, I know you are. Why would YOU, of all people, want me not to die. I hurt Cynthia, for gods sake, I left her permanently scarred and damaged. Her beautiful and once perfect face is now forever marked with the damage I’ve done because I let my Mother’s memories take control and… I didn’t even fight it, I just let it happen”

“But that’s the thing, they're not going to get any better if you don’t do something about it. They are only going to keep getting worse and worse, they will take full control of your life and that will be the only thing in your mind.” sigh “Please Agni… I don’t want you to die…” If there is something Lillian hates more than herself, it is when close ones are in this type of situation. She wasn’t going to let Agni hurt or kill himself, even if it meant working with Agni’s stubborn a*s. Lillian starts to walk closer to Agni, slowly, in case he tries anything. When she reached him she put a hand on his shoulder and Agni flinched, but Lillian kept on going and hugged him.

“Just because you can’t control something doesn’t mean you need to die”

Starting to cry “Why do you care? You of all people should hate me more than anybody” Now crying into her shirt “Why… Why do you care…”

Timeskip

Knock Knock Knock, Angi was knocking on Lillian's door. The door opened and Lillian was there.

Nervous “Oh, hey Lillian, can I talk with Cyn?”

“Um….” she looked towards Cyn who was on the couch and gave a look that just read ‘you want to talk to him?’ and Cyn just nodded. She looked at Angi and said “come in”

He walked, the first thing he saw was Cyn, and the scar on her face. At first he couldn’t really look in the eyes, from shame and and not wanting to be reminded of the scar

“H-Hey, Cyn”

“Yes Agni”

“I-I’m not good at apologies so i'm just going to say sorry, but before you say anything, hear me out”

“Agni I-”

“Look what I did to you was unforgivable but I just want you to know that” “Agni-” “I wasn’t really me when I did that” “Agni-” “When I did that you that was my Mother’s memories In control and” “Agni-” “it just so happened to be a aggressive memory and-” “AGNI, let me talk” “oh, sorry” “Agni I forgive you”

“Y… You what…”

“I forgive you, I know that wasn’t you, whatever it was, I’m sure we find a way to deal with it”

He walks over to her and just hugs her  “thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m so sorry, I’ll try and make sure this never happens again, I swear!”
