I Saw Angels Battling

something I thought of at random. again. more like as usual.

I saw angels
they flew past me and died.
They didn't seem to be feeling the pain
that is felt when they have or own a soul.
Then the last angel appeared
it smiled at me, my guardian angel,
flew past me to its final destination,
and I felt myself sink.
He sunk too,
but a sinking that only paralleled mine.

Author's Note

It was a kind of dream I was having. Angels were battling each other, but there was something mechanical about them, like giant fighting mechas. I think I've been watching too much anime lately.
