Pain, Fear, Death

Pain, Fear, Death

A Poem by Meg
"

Defining what haunts us the most in life.

"
Pain is a funny thing
It's the most overwhelming of feelings
Pain is physical
It is mental
Pain can be the splinter in your foot
It will be your memories
Fear is a funny thing
It's in all of the things loved most
Fear is an illusion
It is real
Fear can be the friend behind the wall
It will be all of your failures
Death is a funny thing
It's presence is the final one
Death is what you cannot run from
It is a cold body
Death can be a fleeting thought
It will be the emptiness in your soul
