Grateful

Thought I would just say some things I'm grateful for.

There's a lot in life to be grateful for 

You have the obvious things such as food, shelter and clothes

But there are other things, that people ignore

You see before this illness I took simple things for granted

Some could say its a blessing and a curse, I suppose

I’ve always been grateful for my family and friends

Without them I wouldn't be here

My love for them will never end

Nowadays I am grateful to be able to walk

I am grateful to be able to talk

For me a successful day is managing to clean my room 

Or simply not getting a new symptom

Yes, I know all doom and gloom

I'm a ticking time bomb I like to say

I just play life day by day

I am scared for the future, that's not a lie

However for now I am taking every little win

And when I get a little win it feels like I'm flying so high

Whatever I go through I know my friends and family will be with me through thick and thin
