With each day

With each day

A Poem by Tess

I try to keep the words in my head but they slide out of my world,
They slip away with the fading of each day,
Words they confuse and scramble, jumble and jump,
They slip away with the fading of each day,
Once I had control but now I see the frayed ends of my life falling,
They slip away with the fading of each day,
I watch with grief shattered eyes as my loved ones get whisked away by the ragging storm in my head,
They slip away with the fading of each day,
The memories tumbling out of my grasp, and the words I fail to clasp,
They slip away with the fading of each day,

Beautiful poem Tess! Very deep, vividly expressed and good use of words.
Well written.
''The memories tumbling out of my grasp, and the words I fail to clasp,
They slip away with the fading of each day,''--favorite!
