7 Rules for Taking Care of Yourself

7 Rules for Taking Care of Yourself

A Poem by Mo

1. Put on lotion, butter cream, perfume. Allow yourself to be soft and warm.

2. Eat veggies, plenty of protein, and fruit. Drink water until you use the bathroom 36 times a day. Buy every non-GMO product on the market. See it as a way of loving yourself that you actually want to stay alive

3. Shower. No matter how comfy your bed feels in the early winter mornings. You'll feel more comfortable in clean skin.

4. Allow yourself that piece of pizza or the caramel apples you love so much. Remember, that yes it does taste good, and yes you deserve it, but a healthy, happy, glowing human is more than worth not eating half a pizza on your own.

5. Shave your legs, armpits, bikini area only when you feel like it. Go all winter with prickly legs that keep you the slightest bit warmer. Shave yourself every day. Shaving or not shaving will not make you more or less feminine. The only thing it will determine is how you feel about your own body hair.

6. Take warm Saturday afternoon baths, light candles and just allow the water to purify you. Sing along to the music, pretend you're a mermaid. It's good for you.

7. Cry. Cry often and cry fully. Cry when you eyes are stinging and about to overflow. Cry when you see commercials of abandoned animals. Cry when you hug your mother because you love her so much. Cry for the world and for nothing. Then breathe, deeply.
