Memories in the Wind

Memories in the Wind

A Poem by Thomas Kainaroi

Memories in the wind.
They are so silent.
But if you listen closely,
You can hear them.

Angels singing in the distance,
I can not discern the words,
So I must fly,
Beyond the walls of glass.

Walking on and on,
In a gray world.
I see lights dancing amidst the shadows.
Please speak to me.

Drifting on the ocean,
I feel so alone.
But when I look past the surface,
I see mermaids.

Where these waters will take me,
I do not know.
But I am going somewhere,
In the darkness and the light.

I love the idea of memories in the wind... something about that image makes me feel comfortable knowing that my memories take flight in the wind and go wherever the wind blows. It immortalizes them and makes them almost universal. I like that. Beautiful poem!

You are welcome...:)
This has such a calm, relaxing feel to it. I've never seen anything quite like it before. The punctuation is very well used, to me it conveys a certain naivety, innocence, like the world through the eyes of a child with a millenium soul. Gorgeous. ♥
