Distant Lullaby

Distant Lullaby

A Poem by Thomas Kainaroi

The outside sun dims its
Golden voice upon the
Woven fabrics below.

Glass strawberries dangle
In the twinkling chimes
Of yesterday's joy.

The souls are ready for sleep
And for dreams untold,
In the warmth of the earth.
