Fishing

Fishing

A Poem by Thomas W Case
"

3 Haikus, one theme. Haikus are not my strong suit.

"
Ice melts on the Lake.
Fish will move into shore soon.
Please bring back the dock.

Anxiously waiting.
I just bought some more tackle.
March, please be a lamb.

Walleyes taste the best.
Get the hot Cajun batter.
I feel a slight tug.

Thank you so much for reading.
In all my years of posting poetry, I've never read a poem about fishing! How cool is this? So cool, Thomas. So cool!

Thank you, Kelly. I appreciate it.
Some people fish for an exciting catch, others fish for probrms. I like to fish for good poetry like this; big catch!

You are welcome sir.
I used to fish a lot when young. I still look longingly at the loch at the bottom of my garden but the large pike in it would never engender poetry of this quality.

Thank you Ken, I really appreciate the kind comment.
I love to go fishing with my dad. It is always a relaxing and bonding day. Let’s hope nature corporates and allows a few extra warm days in the season this year. Hope you got your walleye

I haven’t ever caught a walleye but my dad has a few times.

.. Ah' wot a trilogy .. mine are, butter fish, tuna & Dover sole .. not necessarily in that order .. and whilst you can beat an egg, for sport, you can't beat a decent sized carp ..
