"
Vicious eyes,
ferocious smile, and an
a*s that begged to be
rubbed all night, like
Buddha promising good luck.
But, what that
a*s brought, was
jail, soup lines, and
homeless shelters.

The heart pounds the
head, then the feet pound
the street;
walking mile after mile,
aimless roaming,
doe eyed thinking

What went wrong?
Where the hell did
I go wrong?

Then it dawns on
me like the dew
soaked morning.

It was the a*s.
Always that
sorceriffic a*s.

Sometimes we just do not get what we want, “ that A*s”…. We all suffer “ when the heart pounds the head”….. and our behavior becomes funky…even though the jail part is a sad situation, you still create some humor in this poem; love your writing…..

which head is doing our thinking - careful where it leads, even a sliver of a piece has a price. not the first man to be led astray and won''t be the last. real and relatable and creatively told. soberingly, good "stuff".
