In the sky

Cry, cry only want.hope, you I can't see in the sky
Mother earth sheds a tear because you're not there
War for the have nots and those who have
We the chosen children suffer to see
Is greed by those that feed from our demise
The rich and poor but everyone ignores the homeless
Cold and hungry our children and more war
While the winners feed from their win
Only to give more death we can only pray
That even in death we are not like them.

Yes indeed, what a sorry world we presently live in .. Homelessness is one of those things that no one sets out to achieve or to become & in that sense, it is like addiction, in any of its many forms, no one wants to become hooked .. Kind Regards, Neville

I agree with you... the homeless are definitely overlooked in this country and more... how they became this way we are not privy....but is is a sad situation... and many of them die from drugs, ill-heath that is not treated...and hunger...they live under highways and in parks, covered with a makeshift tent out of balnkets or sheets...it is a terrible problem and difficult to observe....

Everyone deserves a roof over their head. It appalls me that there is so much homelessness. We have veterans on our streets which is disgusting. No one serving their country should end up in the gutter. There are so many who are incredibly rich while at the other end of the spectrum, there is dire poverty. Your words leave me thinking, we could and should do so much better. Thank you Mauricio.
