The Path Chosen

A journey through the forbidden trench.

The walk was icy and long
along the fallen trench of broken lost hopes,
the wailing pleas of restless souls
greeted as i traversed the path forlorn.

A darkness darker than night illuminated the vast expanse
sodden with death reeked pits,
streams of sinned foul blood a glow
laid out in pride to show what Destiny in the area for told.

I tried to shut out the loud screeches and vague speeches
but the voices continued to torment me,
those many shattered dreams echoed though the decaying rocks
cutting deep wounds in my closing in mortal receptacle

Slowly yet mercilessly hands of hell grabbed at my soul
life quietly looked back at me and shed a tear, 'why?' she mouthed
I smiled as she took a step out of her abode closed my eyes and remembered the the deep trench where I choose to end it all
'this is the path I have chosen,
I wanted to take this fall.'
