For Daddy

Written for a dear friend of mine whose girls are his life!!

When I was too tiny to know

He swore his love for me he’d show

He has held me when I cried

Made me laugh, my tears he’s dried

By my side he’s always stood

To me he gave all he could

When life’s winds blow hard and cold

He gives me his hand to hold

Our journey not always easy to trod

Through much hardship we have plod

When life falls lonely and dark

His love my constant spark

Devotion has always shown through

To his promise he has been true

No miles, no pain, no circumstance

My future never left to chance

He is more than a Hero you see

He is “My Daddy” to me
