The End is Near

The End is Near

A Poem by Tina Marie
"

Poem relating a more meaningful life as a bird.

"

If the end is near then, should I fear?

I try to walk along the rapid river,

It sooths my fears,

Because I see one lone goose,

Along my trail,

As I sit and see this goose,

It doesn't see me,

But I realize both our struggles are so real,

It brings us to the same place each day,

The goose is so wild and free,

Wish it were me,

Wish it were me,

He sets sail a little way abroad on the river then,

He swims towards the rocks,

He walks back away,

Then he sails along back down the river.

After some time he flies away.

I want to fly!  I will when my end is near.

I will fly like the hated Magpie, up in the sky,

Like the Eagle that soars up above the Northwest Naches River,

It slows to a circling glide,

Trying to get a glimpse of a salmon or trout,

to dive, catch its prey,

And feed it's young.  Oh! how all fear will gone.

The end is so near!
