wages of sin

wages of sin

A Poem by Tinasha LaRayé
"

messing up in life...

"

Am I the death of me?

Indebted to my wrong

No coin no dollar no shiny platter

To repay the witness I've tarnished

The vessel I've misused

Destroyed from ill abuse

In poverty to my flesh

My spirit mourns this debt

The wages of my transgressions

The cost for all my sin

The only way to make amends

Is through my final end

Forgive me father

For I know just what I've done

I stepped on the battlefield

And the enemy won

Well written, as the enemy
within yourself acknowleges.
a confrontational piece with
resolve...nicely done.

this feels like a transformation
an acknowledgement and a death of a destructive habit
a need for change
a shift into the new
maybe the old enemy won but the brave one was the one that went out to the battlefield
who will continue to fight...
