burden

burden

A Poem by Tinasha LaRayé
"

sometimes one's spiritual journey still has yesterday's burdens attaching themselves to today - hindering true progress.

"

the dark imposition

the foul-play

recess is in but games are out

the burden grows like hunch back tumors

malignant and burning

brooding over mental peaceofmind

unwelcomed

uncured

felt only when the going gets tough

rough and raping

chasing to the ends of the end

whispers self destructive enticements in the ear

the end is here

eyes meet glimmer of blade on the roadside

jagged, rusty

grimy and chipped

hand meets grip around edge

muscles lift edge to heaven

release strength to speed

swiftly rip through air

air meets despair

desperate thrust to back-bare

impale

inhale

then repeat

the burden will meet

it's grave

bleeding

yet free

to...be
