CLARITY

CLARITY

A Poem by G

I TOOK MY GLASSES OFF

SO THAT I COULD SEE CLEARLY

NOT SOME ARTIFICIALLY ENHANCED

      MECHANICAL DEVICE

THAT DISTORTS REALITY

    MY PERCEPTION OF REALITY

I TURNED OFF THE TELEVISION

SO THAT  I  COULD THINK CLEARLY

NOT SOME PROPAGANDISTS VIEW

OF THINGS I WANT AND DON'T NEED

TO DISTORT THE WORLD VIEW

     MY WORLD VIEW

I HAVE BEEN TO THE NEGATIVE ZONE

AT THE OTHER END OF A  SCOPE

AND SHE WANTS THE SAME

   LIFE LIBERTY

         AND THE FREEDOM

                                 TO CHOOSE

I SHUT DOWN MY IPOD

    SO THAT I COULD COMMUNICATE

TALK EVEN

       IMAGINE THAT

you have a very interesting way of arranging your poems. I really like that. and with this one you spoke right from my heart. I absolutely agree with you.
